Spend time chilling out in Cairns, enjoying a fun five-day course including a three-day/two night live-a-board trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef and scuba amongst stunning tropical marine life and gain an internationally recognized PADI qualification.

The PADI Dive Course programme

Your first two nights on the program are spent in Cairns where you will have an opportunity to relax, see the sights of the city or just catch up on some sleep! Over the next five days you will have a mixture of practical exercises and classroom theory including an amazing three-day live-a-board trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

The team finds the best places for you to learn to Scuba Dive and you get full diving tuition from accredited and expert Diving Instructors. Our instructors take you through all the basics and by the week’s end you will have gained your PADI certificate. The PADI five-day course provides you with your basic license to go diving anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

Your course is broken down to two components:
Two days of pool and classroom training and a three day, two night live-a-board trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. You will have the chance to complete a total of nine dives, these being four training dives and five recreational dives (including a guided night dive).

Dive Sites
Weather allowing, you will never dive the same site more than twice, which gives you a great chance to see a wide range of reefs and locations. The reefs you will dive in are home to a diverse range of marine life so don’t be surprised to see turtles, lobsters, barracudas, reef sharks, hundreds of soft and hard coral and just as many species of tropical fish.

Location

Cairns, Northern Queensland, Australia.

Accommodation and Meals

For the first three nights of the program you stay at a hostel in central Cairns. There is a three-day/two night live-aboard boat trip on the fourth day of the program and your last night will be back in the hostel in Cairns. Meals are included throughout the three-day boat trip on days four to six and healthy, filling food will be provided with vegetarians being able to be catered for.
